The real Frisian! A voluminous, firm feel characterizes this blanket; the lighter side was made with wool from real Frisian Merino sheep that live at the mouth of the Weser. The finely curled wool is typical of sheep that brave wind and weather in the salty North Sea air. The gray side comes from Merino sheep that graze in the Swabian Alb in southern Germany.
We think this is very sustainable because no long journeys are involved. Despite the firm feel, the blanket is very soft and skin-friendly.

Coastland wool blankets are pure natural products. They are dirt-repellent, odor-inhibiting and antibacterial. It is sufficient to air the wool blanket from time to time in high humidity; this revitalizes the wool fiber and house dust and dirt are easily released from the fiber.
